Music for All
0-5 years
This class exposes your child to a wide range of music with a fun and accessible approach. Each session is filled with singing, movement, and instrument exploration. It brings music to your family in a special way and provides a safe, supportive space to connect with your child and other grownups. You will learn more about how music can benefit your child’s development and gain creative ideas on how to include more music at home!
Music for Littles
0-14 months
Music Playworld
3-5 years
Similar to the 0-5 years class, but with musical experiences specifically designed for babies (and their grownups). We will focus on sound exploration and movements including lap bounces, rocking, stretching, etc. Each class includes a rich variety of music and songs to best develop your child’s musical understanding.
As your child grows, as does their way of learning. Children at this age need space to discover, take risks, and play with their peers. During this class, we explore music with our entire bodies while listening and singing. Miss Anne and the kiddos transform their musical ideas into songs, musical games, and creative activities where storytelling and imagination lead. In addition to developing musical skills, activities are intentionally planned to support cognitive, psychomotor, and social-emotional growth.
Music Exploration
5-8 years
This class is a wonderful way to continue developing music skills while also introducing your child to the world of musical instruments. We make sure the building blocks of music are enjoyable and easily understood through creative games, group playing, and improvisation. All children will have the opportunity to try and play a variety of instruments- which is a great way for them to explore what they gravitate toward and what they don’t!
Plus Open Yard Times
separate from guided music class...
where you and your kiddo come play, have fun, interact with the different musical and non musical materials, and connect with other families.

"I'm so glad you're here today!"

My name is Miss Anne (she/her) and I am a singer, songwriter, musician, and teaching artist based in Baltimore, MD. As a young kid, I remember feeling so much joy from music- especially making music with others. Music was always around me and ended up playing a large part in who I am today. I want my music classes to instill a lifelong love for music as well as provide positive music experiences where children feel seen, safe, and loved.
When I am not teaching or trying to write the next kid's music hit, I am training for another half or full marathon, eating cinnamon buns from Harmony, rock climbing, hanging out with friends, going on adventures with my dog and partner, and most likely drinking my third cup of coffee for the day.
Why Music with Anne?
Music with Anne supports children and their development
Music with Anne supports caregivers
Being a caregiver of young children is difficult and may bring with it isolation or mental health struggles. Having a consistent, affordable class that is fun and uplifting can make a huge difference in many caregivers’ lives. My classes are unique in that they actively involve caregivers. I introduce songs and activities that the caregivers LOVE and enjoy doing over and over with their child. Did you know that the song “Jolene” makes the perfect lap bounce activity? Or that you can change the words to Michael Jackson’s song “Thriller” to “It’s time to clean up! Clean up all our stuff!?” Because the adults are invested, the little ones love the songs too! Singing and making music with others is proven to reduce cortisol levels. So by participating and being fully present in the music time, caregivers feel less stressed and walk away better equipped to include more music at home. There is nothing more fulfilling than seeing a room full of grownups joyfully singing, laughing, dancing, socializing, and playing with their little ones.

I’ve taught for over six years in a variety of classroom and private settings, including working in Baltimore City Schools through the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. I have a BA in Music Education from Goshen College and a Master of Music in Music Education from the Longy School of Music. In other words, I understand music and I understand child development. Combining both these understandings offers a beautiful and powerful tool in early learning. The most important part about music and early learning is that each music experience should build confidence and community, support children’s musical and non musical development, include play, and incorporate children’s ideas! I am extremely passionate about doing just that in my classes!
